Over the years, the consumption of alcoholic beverages has changed enormously. It has gone from being a social drink to binging. Although drinking alcohol has not changed in today's society; the way it is consumed has replaced the ways of the past. Over time alcohol consumption has changed as the social aspect has decreased and now many young adults plan to get drunk. Binge eating can be defined as drinking an excessive amount of alcohol in a short period of time, with the intent of getting drunk quickly. Binge eating is often seen as bad judgment made by a young adult, or more often by a college student. Many college students have encountered binge drinking at some point. You can simply see that the person's intention is to get drunk. The individual's goal is to get drunk by drinking large quantities of alcohol over a few hours. A college student's view of alcohol may be seen as fun to get drunk. Binge drinking can vary from person to person, for example in terms of the amount of alcohol consumed. Every individual has different limits when consuming alcohol. However, with binge eating the individual still has the intent to get drunk. The prospect of having just a few drinks isn't that common among young adults. The intention is always to get intoxicated. Having a casual drink is no longer so common. College students' knowledge is lacking when it comes to drinking decisions. They often believe they know the limits. When you go to college if you have had a previous lack of exposure to alcohol; it may even be worse for students who don't know the dangers of binge drinking. Some threats include death or other illnesses such as heart disease and liver damage. Don't be completely...half of paper...ble brain damage. Another disadvantage of binge drinking is an effect on memory. Health problems are never associated or taken into consideration during the act. Once a problem has arisen, concerns are often dismissed as people who binge don't realize the potential harm. Alcohol use has always had a place in society as a social drink among friends and family. Multiple cultures view drinking as ethical without inappropriate behaviors associated with binge drinking. As times change and views towards certain topics often change, alcohol use is normative abuse. As drinking might be tempting, lack of knowledge and excessive amounts consumed are significantly detrimental to a person's health and social life. Alcohol abuse illustrates an unjustified form of drinking. Alcohol should be consumed in moderation.
