Topic > Impact of the Industrial Revolution on History

Evolution is life, as life is constantly changing. During the most important periods of history the world changes drastically. According to historians, two such periods occurred and one of them was the Industrial Revolution (Miller, 492). As the name suggests, the Industrial Revolution was about evolving industry. It was a period between the 18th and 19th centuries, characterized by social and technological changes, in which the manufacturing sector began to rely (INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION, Timeline Index). Motorized machines began to do what people had done before. Many significant changes in the way goods were produced took place, transforming and modernizing the world. The basic resources for industrialization: land, capital and labor, were available leading to mechanization and the modern factory system that changed industries such as the textile industry. Steam engines were invented, coal replaced wood and coal, steel was created from iron, roads and canals were improved along with railways, and the creation of steamboats advanced transportation. The division of labor, interchangeable parts, mass production, and the assembly line, among many other factors, contributed to the modernization of the industry. Advances in technology, communication, science and medicine have taken place, changing society and ways of life. The people were changed along with the culture (Miller, 489-97). However, during these ever-flexible times, one thing has remained nearly constant: literature. Of course, the arts were also revolutionized. During the Industrial Revolution literature, as usual, reflected the dramatic, social and economic developments taking place around the world. The artists revealed in their work the sense of ra...... medium of paper ...... Rial Revolution. Since the scientific revolution, literary fantasies have taken on a special form inspired by the achievements of science fiction. Stories similar to today's science fiction were popular during the 1700s and 1800s (Miller, 521). In conclusion, I will say that the industrial revolution had a great impact on literature. Romanticism and realism, along with its subcategories, naturalism and regionalism, were all literary movements that brought out many achievements of writers and from which many great writers were born. Although these authors' views on the different issues that occurred during the enlightening but difficult revolution of industrial growth, scientific progress, and urbanization differed significantly, they all had one thing in common: each wrote a part of the story and provided some measure of intuition. of a period we will never be able to enter.
