Corruption, the abuse of power and position to gain personal advantage, is a widespread and growing problem in countries hosting refugees. Corruption can always play a vital role in the refugee issue. For example, Pakistan is a country with corruption in its system. Therefore, Pakistanis always complain that there are not enough jobs in the country and the limited available jobs are always given to candidates who have a friend within the government. So, in Pakistan, corruption has created unemployment which forces most of the younger generations to flee the country. The example shows that there is a strong link between the refugee crisis and unemployment, a consequence of corruption. Numerous evidence shows that most refugees who come from non-combat countries but from corrupt and high unemployment countries try to work and earn money from outside to pay their expenses.
