He married Priscilla in 1967 and the following year their daughter Lisa Marie was born. Presley suffered much criticism and hardship, such as his divorce from Priscilla, along with many other personal problems; including an increasing reliance on prescription drugs; the once-thin rock star was struggling with a weight problem, and his destructive lifestyle came to light that fall, when he was hospitalized almost unexpectedly for drug-related health problems.
