You have no idea which aspects of yourself will remain the same and which will change. There are many negative aspects about myself. I'm cynical, vaguely pessimistic, bitter, insensitive, reckless and ruthless, but I've learned to love these things. These things are what allowed me to limit the number of friends I have to those who interest me, to get into a good college, to have the right personality type to enter my career field, and to simply be the me who I have become accustomed to. This is not necessarily a good mindset for me to adopt, not only because these traits are inherently bad, but also because they are subject to change.
