Topic > Unethical Analysis of Vior Dire in the Movie Runaway Jury
When an individual is called to serve on the jury, he or she is expected to act as an impartial juror. This ultimately means that they will hear both cases and come to a verdict without bias or prejudice. As human beings, people are very likely to be influenced one way or another when they hear each side of the case. No matter the reason, a juror can be biased even when they know they shouldn't be. Overall I don't believe in the concept of an impartial juror. It's a great idea, but it's hard to tell whether an individual is actually making a verdict based on chance or based on their own biases. This could taint the trial and force jurors to leave the courthouse
