Islam is a monotheistic religion and has been the fastest spreading religion in the world. The religion Islam originated in the seventeenth century with an Arab prophet called Muhammad in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The 17th century was a time of slavery and the Cold War. Islam is an Arabic word meaning submission and basically means submission to God and realization of His power. Followers of Islam are called Muslims. The meaning of Muslim is to surrender and it basically means to surrender to the Prophet Muhammad and by obeying his instructions they can surrender to Allah. The frightened text of Islam is the Koran. The major branches of Islam include Shia (Shia) Islam and Sunni Islam. They believe that to reach heaven one must fulfill the five pillars of Islam which include belief (shahadha), prayer (salah), almsgiving (Zakat), fasting (sawm) and pilgrimage (hajj). The various aspects of Islam can be further discussed through the life of Muhammad, the Quran, the Hijra, the fundamental beliefs of Muslims, the contributions of Islam and by discussing how it is related to Western civilization. The word Muhammad is known as the praised one. His mother heard an angelic voice while she was pregnant and he was born covered in light. He was born into the Hashim clan of the Quraysh tribe in 570 AD (Fisher 176) Muhammad was visited by two corners in the childhood stage and they removed the sin from his heart using pure white snow. He has a birthmark on his back surrounded by hair, and the Jews identified it as a sign of piety. Muhammad's father died before he was born. His father was on a trading trip and after his father's death his family fell on hard times. Muhammad was sent to a Bedouin tribe to be breastfed according to custom and a poor woman carried him so Muhamm... in the center of the card... between Islam and Western civilization. Differences in belief, ritual and culture. Islam has some common characteristics with Western civilization. Throughout this article, the most amazing fact I discovered was the contribution of Islam to the modern world, which includes geometry, algebra, geography, physics, science, trigonometry, sine, tangent and cotangent. The lesson I learned from this article would be about the five pillars. Even though every single pillar doesn't apply to me, the second pillar representing prayer was a great lesson to learn. It also revealed to me how important the role of prayer is in Islamic society. Overall, it was a great experience to learn about the life of Muhammad, the Quran, the Hijrah, the fundamental beliefs of Muslims, the contributions of Islam to the modern world, and this research helped me understand Islam deeper.
