From the PATRIOT Act of 2001, signed into law by formal President George W. Bush, to the flags flying in every American's backyard, The terrorist attack of September 11, 2001 brought the entire nation together for one goal: to fight terrorism and overcome the test to which America has been subjected. Since then, everyone's loyalty to the United States has been tested, and Hollywood cannot be ignored. His reaction through films contributed to the nation by bringing together different ethnic, racial, social and economic groups that America was divided into and showing loyalty and patriotism towards their nation. Hollywood films in the post-9/11 era have conveyed the message that "it's time to give back to your country" through films. "Tragedy of tragedies" is a way to define the September 11 attack which shook the very roots of the United States. States. No one in their right mind had thought that such a catastrophic and dismaying event could happen in the United States. No special police or surveillance force was prepared for this type of terrorist attack in the hinterland through the use of an aerial aircraft. No fighter had been trained before to react to this type of emergency. Neither jet planes have been kept ready to launch missiles capable of preventing aerial terrorism, nor has any president had to take urgent steps and make decisions under such overwhelming pressure exerted from around the world. What happened on September 11, 2001 not only gave us a petrifying example of the capabilities of the human mind, but also showed us the hottest end of the human race. The greatest achievement of people heading to New York to help evacuate people, restore New York City and sympathize with...... middle of paper ...... only two people, manage to live after surviving to all the rubble that was placed on him. The image alone in your mind is enough to sympathize with the characters of Sgt. John Mcloughlin (Nicholas Cage) and Port Authority police officer Will Jimeno (Michael Pena). Stone's choice of characters to go under the shipwreck is wonderful because they are the officers who went in to save the civilians from any harm and were trapped underneath. This aspect of the film is the main reason why audiences feel patriotism and pride in being American. Everyone knew that thousands of civilians would be snogging under buildings ever since they saw the news on TV, but no one would have thought that the people tasked with protecting them would instead be dying, screaming for help. to help and do their duty.
