The Benefit of Prayer towards Muslims Prayer (Salat) is one of the main obligations that Allah has ordained upon His servants. Prayer in Arabic means du'aa. In Islamic terms, it means worshiping Allah through some known and prescribed sayings and actions starting with Takbeer and ending with Tasleem. However, Takbeer is the Arabic term for the pharasi Allahu Akbar and Tasleem means the concluding part of the Muslim prayer, where one recites "Assalaaamu'alaykum wa rahmatu-Allah" once while looking to the right and once while looking to the left. Thus, prayer is one of the five basic requirements that a Muslim is obliged to perform and which is given the highest priority in the Holy Quran. Furthermore, prayer is also a religious observance that believers are required to perform throughout their lives, the times of which have been established. For example, praying five times a day is Morning (Fajr), Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha'. There are many benefits of prayer described in the Holy Quran. It is enjoined on Muslims as an obligatory act by Allah, as can be seen from the following verses of the Holy Quran: “Establish regular prayers at the setting of the sun until the darkness of the night and the morning prayer.” (Al-Isra ',78) The results also demonstrate that the benefit of prayer towards Muslims involves human wisdom in the body and mind, prayer provides a direct connection with Allah, nourishes the body, affirms discipline among Muslims, help the believer to avoid bad deeds and obtain the blessing of life from Allah. Prayer Provides a Direct Connection with Allah First of all, the benefit of prayer is that prayer provides a direct connection with Allah. Many of the physical and mental effects Muslims can get... middle of paper... prayer, it is therefore better for Muslims to try hard to pray properly. Muslims must pray in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah (PBUH), whenever they pray, they should focus their attention on Allah. They should wholeheartedly and sincerely pray to Allah to seek His pleasure and forgiveness. They must remember that Allah has given them twenty-four hours a day and only commands them to perform the obligatory prayers five times which only take a total of about an hour. Muslims should know the benefits of prayer and how to practice prayer in their lives to achieve beneficial lives. So, for those who are new to Islam, embarking on a prayer journey will bring great benefits. The greatest of all is that it will help us put our lives in perspective, seeing that all things are from Allah and that it is to Allah that all will return..
