Or, as several individuals, especially the younger generation, think, the documents are obsolete and should simply be abandoned. However, wouldn't abandoning such significant documents that have survived major events throughout history simply return us to a chaotic nation where such amendments comparable to the ones above did not exist to protect us? These documents laid the foundation of our nation which is what the country needed in the beginning, has prevailed and will continue to do so. However, as times change, provisions should be made to address the issues that arise just as we have done before. Or as Thomas Jefferson so eloquently stated, “It is more honorable to right a wrong than to persist in it”.”
