This quote is true in George Orwell's Animal Farm and William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. In these two literary pieces, the authors expose the problems of society that can lead to the destruction and death of the character. Napoleon from George Orwell's Animal Farm demonstrates how one character can corrupt a society. Napoleon started out as a fairly strong leader and followed all of Old Major's teachings and the commandments agreed upon by all the animals. As time passed, Napoleon began to modify the commandments to make them more suitable for himself and the other pigs. Some of the commandments Napoleon broke were “no animal shall sleep in a bed” and “no animal shall drink alcohol.” The commandment “no animal shall sleep in a bed” was changed to “no animal shall sleep in a bed with sheets.” ”, so that the pigs could sleep on the beds on the farm...
