Topic > My motivation for earning a degree in…

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE I am in the defining phase where I need to decide what I would do to improve my life path. I have a great desire for a pragmatic industrial working environment and therefore wish to continue my graduate studies. I am writing this statement of purpose to describe my educational background and professional goals that motivated me to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Right from the age of 6, i.e. from my second standard, I had a keen interest in mathematics and science which improved quantity and analytical skills in me. This strength enabled me to score 85% in my 10th standard. I passed higher secondary school with 96% in Mathematics and 87% in Physics respectively and achieved an overall pass percentage of 87.60% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, which were my main subjects. To study in the engineering field, I had to overcome some barriers. , a common entrance exam, which I had to take together with almost two hundred thousand students, all aspiring to pass it. I passed with flying colors, ranking in the top 20% of students who took the exam. A huge number of challenges and the rapid development of technology and science led me to choose Mechanical Engineering. I started studying Mechanical Engineering at CMR College of Engineering and Technology, affiliated to the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University of Technology, as my undergraduate specialization because it has tremendous potential to become a dominant force in this era. I have excelled in the field of mechanics at this university and have maintained a clean and brilliant academic record during the years spent in this course. My undergraduate studies provided a th... half of the paper... your university makes its graduate program ideal for my academic goals. I feel that university study here promises me a lot. The breadth and depth of the course, obviously combined with a stimulating research environment, seem to me to be the right mix for creative work and new research methods. To conclude, I would like to conclude by saying that I am fully aware that a career in research and academia requires a high level of intelligence, persistent dedication and a lot of sacrifice. I sincerely hope to have a mutually beneficial association with your university to best contribute to achieving a successful research endeavor. Joining me in your university seems like a great first step and I look forward to your benevolent act of accepting me into your fold and granting me admission into the Masters in Mechanical Engineering.
