Steinbock/What's wrong with adultery?Adultery is a horrible sin to commit, but it can actually be avoided, although many people in society today react differently based on their religion and culture. When a person commits adultery they fail to keep their commitment to their partner. When adultery occurs, trust in the relationship is broken and the other person will feel deceived and betrayed. When a man and a woman unite and bind in holy matrimony, two people become one. In marriage, two people come before the pastor and under God with their partner, to recite promises which are vows. In many religions such as Christianity and Catholicism, sex should be left only for marriage. Sex is an emotional experience that allows married people to enjoy sexual pleasure together. Love and trust are sacred to the foundation of marriage. To understand adultery we must understand what it is and how it begins. Adultery is the breakdown of marriage. In the Ten Commandments the seventh commandment reads “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” Marriage and adultery are choices to consider before implementing them. Adultery isn't always about sex. Adultery in general can mean looking at someone with a lustful eye. Usually in a marriage, when a partner's needs are not met, they look for someone else outside the marriage who can meet their expectations. It all starts with unmet needs like money, lack of intimacy, or total absence. Women are emotional beings who are likely to cheat once they find a man who is on the same emotional level with them. Men are likely to cheat if they feel unappreciated and unappreciated by their wife. When you commit your heart and soul to marriage, your lifestyle will be stable and secure for your children to grow. Parents are role models for their children. As children grow, as adults they will model the same behavior as their parents. Morality is about doing what is right in making decisions and not making mistakes. Adultery is a choice made followed by an action. Adultery can be avoided by thinking rationally instead of acting on your feelings. Adultery is never the answer to fixing a relationship, but instead destroys the trust your spouse has in you. If you are not satisfied with the person you are with, you should leave your spouse instead of cheating on him. If you cheat, it is unlikely that your spouse will ever trust you again because he or she will never forget what you did.
