During all this training the cheerleaders get injured but they don't stop cheerleading because they don't want to let their team down or they don't want to ruin the routine. Doctors try to highlight the fact that cheerleading gets hurt just as much as any other sport. Sometimes their injuries are worse than those of football players. Some cheerleaders won't even know they are injured or will know but won't go to the doctors. they will not stop competing until the competition is over. Cheerleading does not use any type of protection unlike many other sports. So, if they fall while trying to make a dangerous move, they could seriously injure themselves. These cheerleaders challenge the limits of their body to do all the maneuvers they have to do. Knowing these, people still believe that cheerleading is not a sport.
