6 Reflections That Have Become True to My Life Life is a Gift Life is truly a gift from God. When God created the world, He intended it to be in harmony with Him. He wanted us to experience a relationship with Him, happiness and love. When Jesus died on the cross, we were given victory over sin. So we can still enjoy life through a close walk with God. I wrote the story of a boy who discovered a freshwater river after being born in a dirty man-made dam. This is true for me. There is so much to delight in the Lord and now I see that life is truly a gift. Before I was always like Jeremiah, cursing the day I was born. I wondered why I was alive. Thinking it would be better to die. I'm glad I saw how wrong my thoughts were. How my torment was unjustified and how my suffering was unnecessary. Knowing that life is a gift helps me enjoy the joys and sorrows of life. Someone once said: rejoice when you find yourself in pain and suffering because it is in your greatest adversity that your greatest strength or lesson lies. In the pains of life, it was hard to believe, the torment was too much but now I learn to see life as a gift and in doing so I find myself being grateful to be honest, I didn't think she would have to divorce her husband for the Bible expresses it very clearly against this. But then again what do I know. To be sure, I have not read the Bible in its entirety. I found myself realizing that we cannot please men. Today you will be up, the next day down, so it is with men. You will be whisked away to fill a position only to be led away in handcuffs by the same people who hired you. You will be elected only to be impeached. People will easily forget what you have done for them. This is why it is very important to be rooted in Christ. Pleasing Christ is all that matters. The pleasant man, no matter who he is in your life, is
