Topic > My Internship Report at DJ Brothers Pizzeria

After graduation, many Robert Morrison students are required to complete an internship. This internship must be in accordance with one's specialization in order for the student to gain experience in their chosen field. Internships are a wonderful experience for both the student and the organization. Not only do individuals learn about the circumstances in their specializations, but the organization also receives additional help and guidance from the student. Many of these internships are also free, which essentially creates intrinsic motivation. This essentially means that the motivation to do so is devoid of external reward. As you know I am an international student. Therefore, I have never experienced any work environment outside of university life. Since 2014, when I started college here at Robert Morris University, I have always wanted to have a job like my American friends and also blend in with almost everyone else. Since this would be my first real job, you can imagine how nervous I was. This man trusted me enough to see the value in me and I didn't want to let him down. I've cooked before, but never food from this restaurant. It mainly serves Italian style foods such as pizza, pasta, sandwiches and other foods such as appetizers. I feel that food brings people together and can even bring them together. It is always during holidays and celebrations that food unites individuals. However, since I was young, I have always enjoyed cooking and sharing food with others. So, I saw this as the perfect opportunity for my internship. Not to mention, Business is my major, so by getting involved in a restaurant, I will not only cook, but also learn how to run a business. Not to mention that this specific restaurant is quite successful, given that it has two different locations. DJ's Brothers restaurant location: 214 moon Clinton rd., Moon Township, PA 15108. And the second: 5886 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217. The third: 3324 Babcock Blvd, Pittsburgh, Pa 15237. That means I would also have the opportunity to work in both environments and see if they are consistent with each other or.
