I am proud to say that one of my greatest accomplishments in high school was when I was inducted into the National Honor Society ceremony last spring as a new member. As a leader, I am responsible for documenting important events for the senior class and creating memories for others to come. In this role, I have to work with and inspire not only my colleagues but everyone around me. I work hard in my assigned role to accomplish what is expected because to get the job done I believe I have to go the extra mile. In the spring of 2018, I stand firmly with thousands of other students in my community during the “March Against Gun Violence”. I took this stand for my voice to be heard because that is what a leader does. I volunteer through the NHS to help tutor anyone in my high school who needs an assistant. Tutoring my colleagues in need helps improve their academic performance and also gives them support and confidence as I aim to help others and. inspire as I move towards my future, my acquired leadership skills.
