I am proud to say that one of my greatest accomplishments in high school was when I was inducted into the National Honor Society ceremony last spring as a new member. It is such a rewarding feeling to know that my high school teachers found the compelling qualities of hard work, dependability, dependability, a highly regarded role model, my confidence, and inspiration to others. My teachers and education authorities believed that I embodied the four pillars of the NHS – Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character – and considered me eligible for membership. That's why my experience with the National Honor Society is the topic of this essay. Say no to plagiarism. Get a tailor-made essay on "Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned"? Get an Original Essay Scholarship is the academic achievement of a student. An inner drive to seek to gain knowledge at a higher level. This inner drive directs my paths towards achieving the final goal. It is that drive that I consider to be a strong motivation or self-discipline that continues to encourage me to stay on the path until I achieve the outcome I set out to acquire. The day I started high school, I realized that to reach my full potential it was important to have the right mindset. This is the story I carry with me every day in my head. During my high school studies, I applied for a scholarship as a dedicated ingredient that motivates me to give my best academically in my educational pursuit. While I work hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA, I not only willingly dedicate hours to studying, but I also make numerous sacrifices to reach my core goal. The scholarship is for me, as a student, a continuous impulse to never stop learning. I have the incentive to continually expand my mind and be able to keep up with this changing world. Moving on to college after high school I am already equipped with a positive attitude and a scholarship of self-discipline to help me in my achievement. As I continue my educational journey there will be challenges, some of which will be laborious, however, I already have that inner drive to succeed. Leadership is the ambition or ability to succeed. An important feature that I have been using daily at the top and which will help me prepare for the future and will also contribute to my future success in different areas of my life. Leadership practice in high school contributed most significantly to building my self-esteem. A few months ago I was elected historian in my senior class. As a leader, I am responsible for documenting important events for the senior class and creating memories for others to come. In this role, I have to work with and inspire not only my colleagues but everyone around me. I work hard in my assigned role to accomplish what is expected because to get the job done I believe I have to go the extra mile. In the spring of 2018, I stand firmly with thousands of other students in my community during the “March Against Gun Violence”. I took this stand for my voice to be heard because that is what a leader does. I volunteer through the NHS to help tutor anyone in my high school who needs an assistant. Tutoring my colleagues in need helps improve their academic performance and also gives them support and confidence as I aim to help others and. inspire as I move towards my future, my acquired leadership skills.
