Topic > The Lessons I Learned in Middle School

I learned many things in middle school, but the two most basic ones are: you have no friends and life isn't fair. Don't even try to say I'm wrong, because I know it. You may think you have a friend, maybe one you've known since kindergarten, but eventually you grow apart and never speak to each other again. Of course no one will admit it but it's true. When I say life isn't fair it's because it isn't! In middle school you get dealt a bad hand and there's no way out. Say no to plagiarism. The lemmings chase each other and get trapped; there is no escaping it. No matter how much you try to distance yourself from the other lemmings, it never works. Friends are like lemmings, who follow the leader lemming. As soon as they find someone better, a faster and more beautiful lemming, they completely forget about you. Many times you think that this person, or people, will be there for you to confide in forever and will always have a shoulder to cry on. Then one day your best friend finds a more perfect lemming and slowly starts walking away from you. Slowly at first, then faster and faster until one day you look up and you're alone. Then you start to think and realize that they weren't really my friends to begin with. You're alone, alone, alone, and there's no one to pick you up when you fall. That's because life isn't fair. You kind of always knew this because you didn't always get the color of popsicle you wanted, but now it's because of real things. Life isn't fair because you don't get along with your family, they humiliate you and insult you all the time. Life isn't fair because your so called friends betray you and there's no one to turn to, and whenever you have a bad day there's really no one to turn to. Life isn't fair because after missing the bus, failing a test, getting a reference and a stretch you still have to go home, do three hours of homework, take out the trash, and listen to a lecture from your parents. Life is not fair because many times you feel like no one loves you and you feel like you can't move forward. Please note: this is just an example. Get a custom paper from our expert writers now. Most of the time you get nothing except people who are fed up and angry at you, but you feel better. Since you have no friends and life isn't fair, you might as well do things that make you feel better because you're the only one you have. I don't know if it will stay like this forever, I really hope not, but if so at least I learned two important things in middle school, and I know I will always remember them, true or not..
