Topic > My Attitude Toward My English Professor

My English professor has had the greatest impact on me and others this semester. Helping me get through my class transfer and being very helpful in class whenever I decided to raise my hand. I don't really like writing, but I felt like I learned to write a little better, but there's still a long way to go. However, she is one of those teachers that you try to find over and over again during your college experience to help you with your homework even if you are no longer with her. Ultimately, she seems to care about us and our growth as writers and adults and that is why I feel that Mrs. Polk has had a great impact on myself and others. Say no to plagiarism. Get an Original Essay First of all, I wasn't even supposed to be in this course initially, but due to conflicting times I had to change. Even though the deadline was over, she stayed with me and helped me make the change. He didn't just throw me to the wolves, he even asked me where I was with the other class and if I knew certain things just to make sure I had a good transition into his class. Even with the other students who have been with her since day one, she always makes sure that no one is left behind. That's why I'm happy I made the change because I'm still in touch with my classmates from the other class and we always seem to get lost. When Mrs. Polk makes sure you're where you need to be, and if you're not, she'll take you there. Being in Mrs. Polk's class, I honestly feel like I've become a slightly better writer. I never knew much about the writing pyramid and other writing tools to perfect my writing skills or just fix any paper that needed fixing. Officially learn the difference between reviewing and editing an article. Also, the writing process doesn't have to be so stressful, I've never really enjoyed writing or the process, but in this course I look forward to writing things now. Not everything except writing seems to be ten times easier since I've been in Mrs. Polk's class. When I say you would like Mrs. Polk or a teacher like Polk, that's what I mean. You want someone who doesn't leave half the class or you behind because you feel uncomfortable asking questions or saying anything, period. He helps you with almost anything that resembles what he taught in previous lessons in case it fits into that class's lesson plan and can help you relate the two. However, even if you are an unlucky person and end up with a different professor, you could probably still go back to her and get real help that benefits you with that assignment even if it's not for her class. Mrs. Polk seems like one of those professors you would go to and maintain a good relationship with the entire college. For example, when you hear a student talk or tell you about how much they like a professor because they helped them so much, maybe even wrote a letter and got them an intern, she sounds like one of those professors. As I said before, she also seems to care about students' process as growing writers as we transform into young adults. He might keep an eye on us if we don't try to get into his comp.2 classes or any of his other classes. I like that a teacher who is liked by students is liked by students. That said, his energy and way of teaching will make you want to come back for another semester, and how many students do you know as teachers after having them for a semester? Finally, Mrs. Polk doesit really cares about us and our growth as writers and adults and that's why I feel that Mrs. Polk has had a great impact on myself and others. I'm not very talented as a writer. Strong perhaps not at all, at least if I were I wouldn't be able to explain it. Maybe I could write a great sentence and ruin it with an add-on. Now I like writing because I understand that you can put your heart on the paper, like putting in your two cents without being judged or looked at in a funny way for what you said or for your opinions on a situation. Intelligent thinking has been good to me this semester and I plan to use it in future semesters and perhaps future professors. There are many challenges when it comes to sitting down and writing an article or essay, but the best challenge is writer's block. This semester in Mrs. Polk's classes has allowed me to get better at all of these things, not completely yet, but one class at a time. As I said in the introduction, writing is freedom and sometimes that freedom needs a comma or an apostrophe here and there or maybe the use of to instead of too much. It can be very frustrating at times, but educational and very helpful to the writing process. When writing something that might not sound so good to me will be fine and vice versa. Thinking that a sentence needs something extra instead of being simple can ruin an entire paragraph. During the year I am sure this incident has happened to me a couple of times, but I feel that with Mrs. Polk's help in overcoming the bad habit it will soon disappear. It's good to write homework, whether for a lesson or simply because you want to get something off your chest. In the 90s comedians would talk about what was going on in the world for ten minutes or an hour and let you know what was going on by making you laugh. Now people are scared and create anonymous blogs to say what they want to say. It's helpful, but not exactly because the search requires facts rather than reading that grabs your attention and more colors and less pop-ups whatever the reason the article doesn't help you. Especially if it is a large document that exposes something within the government, police, or anything else that is unjust about the world we live in. With our president bringing out bigots right and left on the simplest of things, even one wrong tweet and your president has half the world at least what appears to be half the world hates you. I don't blame them for wanting to stay hidden. To be honest, I never heard of intelligent thinking until I got to Virginia State University. Even though they may seem bad and some wouldn't believe it, but better late than never, right? Before we got to this composition class in my last class we were told we can use it but it's not required and when I got it back, I was happy to get a low B on my first assignment here at state. Of course, I felt I could do better and I tried, I edited the paper and got a high B, which isn't much better, but I was happy with it. Intelligent thinking not only helps you write your article, but also tells you what you could do to improve it. With writing I feel like you can learn something new every day or even get a reminder. If even the smallest thing slips my mind, they will make sure it is addressed and possibly tell you how you should resolve or express something differently. Everyone gets writer's block, don't do it. True? Unfortunately, the answer is yes and it's probably very true for your favorite acclaimed writer too. Again, writer's block doesn't necessarily mean you can't write anything, it can come in different ways.
