There is a high demand for real estate in this area, the place is filling up with middle class workers. Even though it falls within Jersey, it feels a lot like New York. Hoboken is a popular place for young families. It's clean, safe and quieter than Manhattan. This city is all about family. It has become a small, close-knit community, where you are likely to encounter a newly married couple, a pram or a family walking their dog down every street. On Sundays you see the same people going in and out of Whole Foods. You always go to the same local bars, shops and restaurants and practically everyone knows each other by face. The city also loves their pet. I believe this area has the highest concentration of dogs than anywhere else. Every family or couple living here has at least one pet dog. Many think Jersey is a step down from New York, don't be fooled. Hoboken is not cheap at all, it is the same or sometimes more expensive than Manhattan. Rents and mortgages can come at a high price. An average one-bedroom apartment for a couple can cost $2,400 to $3,000 a month, which is basically Manhattan. And if someone with good credit and a good income is looking to buy a condo, it can fetch well over a million dollars in the current market, not to mention the rising property taxes. Many believe that this small town is gentrifying with rising real estate prices and property taxes, but I believe that is good for the town because it used to be full of old factories and warehouses that are getting a makeover. I support this gentrification in Hoboken because I believe this place has a lot of value considering it is right next to the largest financial capital in the world. The morning rush is crazy in Hoboken, y'all. People jump over each other to get on the PATH train. From 7 to 10 in the morning you don't want to meet anyone, I guess they have the New Yorker in them. Once rush hour passes, the city becomes a bit of a ghost town. It is very easy to get around the city. I believe it is literally one of the most walkable neighborhoods in the country, while most people have cars in the city, you don't need a car to live here. And don't forget that you're just one click away from your destination because this place is full of Uber and Lyft rides, so you'll never miss an appointment. Hoboken is a great place for foodies, from restaurants and cafes to beer gardens and wine bars. you will never lack a nice surprise. This city is filled with a wide range of cuisines that could leave you salivating.
