A growing population in today's society is growing increasingly weary of this so-called global warming epidemic. Tactics such as propaganda, various styles of indoctrination, and the stealthy instillation of fear have been used to flood the minds of the naive; not to mention total deception. FOX 11 hosts a number of controversial sitcoms. One show in particular, Family Guy, disputes whether global warming is real or fraudulent. The purpose of Family Guy, along with other sitcoms, is to tug at the heartstrings; exasperate; impose deep-rooted morals and values; all in an attempt to be comical. The Excellence in Broadcasting episode brings the “unpopular” viewpoint to light, contrary to the perception of many environmental drones that global warming is a conglomerate of falsehoods and manufactured pseudo-science. Along with this science comes radical and unconstitutional legislation like the cap-and-trade proposal. Seth McFarlen, producer of Family Guy, predominantly portrays a liberal ideological perspective on social and personal issues. Unusually, Seth produced the Excellence in Broadcasting episode with a sporadic conservative tenor. In the first few minutes of the episode, Louis is shown reading a newspaper; at the bottom he found a notice about Rush Limbaugh's book signing later that day. Brian heard the comment; after criticizing and denigrating Rush's beliefs regarding global warming; she suddenly left to confront him. After failing to insult Rush with his parrot accusations; he encouraged Brian to read his book and form his own opinion about him.
