The similarities are that we both almost never got into trouble, so our parents didn't need to be disciplined very often. None of us liked to read. We really enjoyed spending time with our families. The difference is that Rick didn't have a television when he was little, but once he became an adult he watched it most of the time. They were also taught a lot more skills than I was when I was little, but that might just be because I'm a woman. Back then young men were drafted into the army and now any gender can sign up to join the army, there were no drafts at all if you don't want to do it, you don't have to. Their school systems are very different, back then they were in one class for all grades and were punished offensively. Today we have more classrooms for the same grades. If you get in trouble you will be sent to the main office, detained, or even suspended or expelled. Respect and language are really a problem with young people
