They usually represent a bad image of something that is not true. Prejudice is an opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience. I think we all have or do stereotypical people to some extent. It is completely natural for a human being to judge someone and create stereotypes about them. When we see someone we normally always make assumptions about them, which some people might say you are labeling them. Historical events, such as the 9/11 attacks, the Gulf War, and the Iran hostage crisis, have perpetuated a negative image of Arabs in America. Arab culture is very religious; The family is one of the most important aspects of Arab society. In most Arab countries there are Muslims, Jews and Christians, who pray about five times a day and must wear certain types of clothing. We may consider Arabs to be the same as all Muslims, but Christianity is the second largest religion in the League, with over 20 million Christians living in the countries. I know that Arab culture is very strict on many things and I couldn't imagine my religion that way. My religion is Christian, but I am not as religious as the Arab culture. In the article "Terrified by the War on Terror" by Zbigniew Brzezinski, he talks about the attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. They hijacked four planes in mid-flight. The terrorists crashed two of the planes into two of the World Trade Center in New York City. The crash caused buildings to catch fire and collapse, filling the entire city with smoke and ash. Farah Ahmedi was born in our world just as the war between the mujahideen and the Soviets began in Afghanistan. She also had a very hard life growing up, as she lost a leg when she fell into a mine.
