This shows that because Rosa is aware of her self-efficacy, it is now affecting her self-esteem. This now causes her to be distracted in these lessons and consistently perform well in sports. Ferirings & Taska, 1996, stated that children and adolescents whose parents are loving and have reasonable expectations of them generally exhibit a high level of self-esteem. Once again it can be seen that lack of parental involvement is one of the main reasons for Rosa's underperformance in different subjects
