When I ask some of my friends why they often say that their families still speak their native language or that they live in a community where many people still speak the language too . This is why it is difficult to describe a Canadian identity. We are a very diverse country that celebrates differences. I don't think there is one single Canadian identity, I think everyone has their own which is influenced by the many different cultural identities in which we celebrate
