We just talked. I don't even remember what, but it was the first time in years that I felt even remotely connected to another person without having to put myself out there first. I was only in tenth grade, but until eighth grade I had been under someone else's control. During my first year off I had clung so tightly to my other friend that I was pretty sure she was tired of me - I'm still sure of that, but since I started college we haven't been very close - and now I had this one guy who I had known him since sixth grade and he spoke to me like a real guy
