What some Americans like about health and others don't When we take a look at the world around us, we find that there are more unhealthy people than there were in, say, fifty years ago. Back then there were smaller portions and not as many cars (if there were any). We hiked to our destination and were able to hunt and gather. As a society we were much more active in the 1900s than we were in the 2000s. Today we don't have to hunt or gather, we have cars that take us everywhere, and more often than not we sit down and have all the things we want and desire... Except one thing for which only some people struggle with, being fit and healthy having a hunter/gatherer body. But how did we become so sick? But above all, how will we get out of this? One of the reasons we got this far is that it's not entirely our fault: our genetics predetermine what our weight will be, how healthy we will be, and how we were raised by our parents and what hormones they gave us to produce us as we are. We live our lives so differently from each other that everything is different for everyone. Are we eating the necessary food? Are we getting the right amount of exercise for our body type? All of this will be determined by how we live, how we live, and the job we want in this life. Last but not least, our hormones have a lot to do with how we eat, what we eat and how often we eat? As we grow from childhood to adulthood, our hormones take control of the way we act and the things that happen to us during puberty, they certainly could have a control over the way we eat too. Losing weight isn't easy, and it's even harder when your genes are working against you. Many different genes affect how your body works, but one is... middle of paper... every day and the health we hear about yesterday is all old news since the health we hear about today it becomes the health trend. Our heredity determines how we eat and we have discovered one of the genes that determines our weight. Because APOA2 will be the next generation as exercise will quickly become part of the older generation, the one we live in now. This may not disappear, in fact the things we keep from the past will always be the right way to go, but who says we are moving forward? For all we know, we could take a step back. The more we as a society watch television, the more weight we place on it. The best way to change all this is to get out more, go hiking, swimming, cycling. we put ourselves into our body we have to be the ones to take ourselves and make it a great place to live because we will live there our whole lives.
