Mothers refuse to get an education because they can find other ways to spend the money; one child needs braces, another has outgrown his shoes, and they all want to participate in extracurricular activities! Many mothers hesitate because, in addition to their children's needs, there are countless stories of college graduates who have astronomical student loan debt, many of whom are unable to work in their chosen fields or find a job.
