The exterior of the white house has a porch (White House Portico B), exactly like many temples, including the Temple of Hephaestus, in Greece (Temple of Hephaestus). Even in the heart of the White House the Greco-Roman influence is present. Circular buildings and designs in general arose from the architectural advances of the Romans. The Oval Office is a great example of this as its design was possible thanks to the Roman design of the Pantheon (Pantheon). The Pantheon also influenced the other side of the White House. With its semicircle shape and supporting columns around the outer edge it is no surprise that it also comes from Greco-Roman architecture (White House A).
