I think the majority have a bad perception of law enforcement to be more specific because of all the negative events reported in the media. Many times the general public does not understand what it means to work as a criminal justice professional and the duties, responsibility and stress that come with this role. I believe the solution to this problem is to educate the general public about both the positive and negative aspects of the profession. Maybe get the police more involved with the community. Give them the opportunity to get to know the police who serve them on a more personal level. I think if we held events where the community and law enforcement met and got to know each other, it would build better trust between the two and allow the police to better serve our
