Hero what is the true distinction of the word? Society today believes that if someone has a big wallet, natural liveliness and the world follows him and some humanitarian acts. While there are many different definitions of the word, let's focus on the definition of the word A person known for feats of courage or nobility of purpose, especially one who has risked or sacrificed his or her life. To become a hero you have to do something that gets someone's attention or attention, it doesn't have to be anything big because a hero can be the one who does even the smallest act or achievement. In today's society it is very easy to name a celebrity, sports figure or cultural icon a hero. It seems like the only qualification these days is to make a donation here or there and not have any problems. Heroes require more than a big bank account, name recognition, or fame: they do things because they care about a cause bigger than themselves. True heroes are those who put others before themselves and don't care about the outcome or consequences. The media today tries to use the definition in the original sense of the word when naming news and recognizing the everyday hero. A hero is a selfless person. The altruist is willing to put the needs of others before his own. An American soldier is a perfect example of a selfless person. They volunteer their lives for the freedom of their loved ones and strangers they have never even met. This shows the true definition of an altruistic person. It is the last definition given that most people evidently have in mind when deciding who to idolize and who to strive to imitate. They want to be like their favorite star, model, CEO, politician or professional athlete. In reality... in the center of the card... his figure, or cultural icon, is a hero. It seems like the only qualification these days is to make a donation here or there and not have any problems. Icons, celebrities and sports figures, while we all enjoy watching them do what they were lucky enough to do for a living, don't deserve to be heroes just for admiration. All we have to do is look within neighborhoods, families and communities and we will find many heroes who have never asked for or received due recognition due to society's standards. Hopefully, this trend will take a turn and the media will realize that it loses its merit when a musician's arrest is bigger news than the sweeping winter storm sweeping across the North and leaving families stranded and some without electricity. I say thank you to all the heroes if no one else wants to give you that ride
