In the 21st century, technology has continually advanced and computers run almost everything. There has been an increase in new and evolving technologies leading to many job opportunities. In the article “Choosing Not to Go to College,” Rubiner says, “…computer programmers and web page designers…don't need a college degree.” There are so many different job opportunities out there that even a person with the lowest level of education can find one. For example, there are plumbers, janitors, and air traffic controllers who only need a GED. These few examples demonstrate that you don't need a degree. The author of "But What If I Don't Want to Go to College?" Harlow G. Unger states that “28% of workers without a four-year college degree earn more than the average worker with a college degree.” Therefore, showing that even if a student wishes not to go to college, they will still have the opportunity to become one
