I attended the Dance Plus 1 program on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Victoria J. Mastrobuono Theater, located on the Rutgers Cook & Douglass Campus. The Dance Plus program was organized and hosted by the faculty, staff and students of the Rutgers Mason Gross School of Arts. The concert included six dance performances in total. All the dances were very engaging, fascinating and interesting. Additionally, they were all unique in their own way through the type of music, dance styles, theme, energy and facial expressions of the dancers used in each performance. I decided to write about Hello Herman Heese about all the dance performances. It was a very fun and cheerful show. I don't know much about stage shows and their types, but I think Hello Herman Heese is a repertoire work choreographed by the wonderful director Randy James. We had Randy James in one of our dance appreciation classes, representing his company called 10 Hairy Legs as the artistic director of the dance company. At the time, the company's dancers performed few of the company's dance works. Among all of them, Bull inspired me a lot. The entire class got to see the improvisation, amazing coordination between the performers, fluid movements and a little bit of dance in one dance piece. Just like Bull, Hello Herman Heese was extremely impressive, full of energy and fun. This part of the show showed the audience the convivial and charming atmosphere of beer halls, also known as taverns. There was a festive, festive atmosphere on stage as the cast performed. Everything on stage seemed so real that I could imagine myself being part of that party. Plus, the... middle of the paper... will gather in the biggest kitchen in their neighborhood during the cold winters to have fun. They played music not only with their musical instruments, but also with kitchen utensils such as spoons, and danced to the music. In the hot summers, they joined their families, friends and neighbors outside to regularly entertain themselves with Irish dancing with a little twist. A wooden door would be used as a platform for dancing, as rainy summers would make Irish dancing difficult on regular floors and streets. Ultimately, the primary goal of most theater performances is to entertain the audience and portray a theme or message. Hi Herman Heese was able to cover both aspects very well. The whole performance was very interesting to watch and the bar setup was very vivid through the sets, types of music, performances of the dancers and their outfits.
