Being a woman and majoring in criminal justice, I know that I might meet feminist men and think that a woman can't work or keep up with the pace of a male. Another reason I will continue my studies is the potential for a bigger salary increase. It is important to ensure that my knowledge and skills are up to date with my career, so that employers can see me as a valuable asset to the company. Learning new skills would allow me to be a more versatile employee. When you attend school while maintaining your career, it shows that you are passionate and want to advance your career. Continuing your education opens up new opportunities and makes you a competitive candidate for promotions. Many in my family only have high school diplomas. I would like to pursue a PhD in criminal justice, but was initially willing to settle for an undergraduate or graduate degree. Then I realized that I couldn't settle for less and that even if everyone has a degree, sometimes you have to go further. This shows your potential employers that you are willing to do the same
