A pediatrician is the child's doctor who takes care of the physical, mental and emotional well-being of the child. Undoubtedly you must have a strong love for children and patience to be a pediatrician. If you don't like children, it's clear that being a pediatrician is not the right job for you. I have dreamed of being a pediatrician since I was 7 years old, ever since I was rushed to the emergency room due to an accident. I remember how the doctor interacted with me; he introduced himself and explained what a pediatrician does. He told me step by step what he was doing, how he was doing it, and how he was going to do it. Since then I understood that doctors were not scary and from that day I dreamed of becoming a doctor, obviously until today. I absolutely love children and would absolutely love to have a career that involves them. Being a doctor is pretty much everyone's dream at some point, mine has stuck with me over the years. Now put being a doctor and kids together and it seems like a perfect job to have. Interacting with different children and babies on a daily basis would be a real joy. Before researching this career, I thought it would be a simple and easy way to earn money. That's when I discovered that after completing 11 years of college, every year you have to continue taking a test and get an excellent score. By the time I finished 11 years of college I would be almost 28, maybe 29 and just starting my career. I would have to pay off thousands of dollars of college debt before I could earn real money. The first obstacle that every pediatrician faces is becoming one, because it takes many years to finally start a profession as such. They have to... middle of paper... travel around the world to some third world countries and help children there. It would be an amazing and very beneficial experience. It works CitedButler, Katy.
