Strategic issues are the deepest issues in health services management which occur due to lack of strategic planning in many aspects such as financial planning, performance and lack of coordination in management in the healthcare sector. To solve these problems, healthcare organizations need proper strategic planning with buy-in from all workers. Leaders play a vital role by coordinating well with other staff members and setting policies to take organizations to the next level. The second key issues concern succession planning which includes the replacement of experienced staff due to obtaining higher positions in other organizations and retirements. These problems need to be resolved by the staff members by making this situation easily acceptable to the new employees working in the organization. The role of leadership is not only to manage the organization and formulate policies, but also includes providing adequate facilities to staff and patients and managing numerous issues in the healthcare sector.
