I don't think so. GMO is a very advanced technology, genetic technology is the direction of human development. We don't need to eat GMOs, but we can use them. GM cotton is a great example. We wear cotton and use cotton, but we never eat cotton. The risk of GM cotton is very low, so we should develop this technology. We cut down a lot of trees every year and the forest areas are shrinking every year, if we have genetically modified trees we won't need to cut down the rainforest, we will have unlimited wood and paper. California is a water-scarce state, but we run out of groundwater to grow grass. If we have genetically modified grass, we don't water the turf, maybe we don't need to cut it.
