Society and mass media are strongly influenced by popular culture and vice versa. People see and use popular culture as a way to distract themselves from reality. Many of us place all our importance and focus on material elements; people often worry about how their image looks in the digital world, which incidentally impacts them in the real world. Living in the current age of technology shows the importance of how much people rely on technology to distract themselves from reality. iPhone, iPad and other smart tech devices are visible everywhere you go. How does a company like Apple spread and grow in popular culture? Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple, exclaimed early in his career, in 1993, that: "Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn't matter to me... Going to bed at night saying we've done something wonderful... That's what matters to me." me” (Isaacson). Thanks to this mentality he has managed to fill today's society with iDevices and "Apple culture". Apple culture is essentially a world controlled by Apple. It's all rooted in the way Apple operates, which impacts us, the consumers; this is why you see a lot of people walking around with iPhones, iPods, iPads, etc. Apple is able to control society's technology “wants” (jobs). Their technology has specific features that take communication, sharing and business to another level. Apple, without a doubt, has a strong influence on popular culture. Steve Jobs was born in 1955 in San Francisco, California. His unmarried biological parents gave him up for adoption. Paul and Clara Jobs, a lower-middle-class couple, adopted Steve at a young age. Steve Jobs grew up in a neighborhood of engineers who worked on electronics and other gizmos in their garages on weekends. These sha... middle of paper... earbuds that swing to the rhythm of their movements are an example of their competent advertising. The colors are vibrant and the atmosphere of the commercial is fun and light-hearted. If you continuously show people that they enjoy using the iPod, they will psychologically begin to associate pleasure with the above product. Apple products can be both a blessing and a curse. It all depends on how you use them in your daily routine. Anything done in excess can be unfavorable to your well-being, but in the right doses, iPhone, iPad and iPod can prove beneficial to your quality of life. The company, Apple, knows how to stay relevant in this current era of brand new gizmos and gadgets. Apple's future looks promising and as long as people continue to buy Apple products they will remain a great example of popular culture.
