In the majority opinion, I agree that the death penalty is somewhat cruel and unusual towards the human population. In the minority opinion, I agree that there is something to be done about those who cause suffering to those who hurt others and that they have probable cause to do so again if given the chance. Many can agree that with our progressive society we are starting to lose the roots of our ancestors, creating new rules and regulations that keep our society satisfied. I believe that the world we see now as Americans is a world of leisure and tranquility where only the worst of travesties bring out the fighting spirit in people to act for their cause. It is until then that people begin to see the reality of the situation and learn to accept it or argue behind denial and fight for their own world of leisure and tranquility. This can be implied in the case of the death penalty where people believe that death should not be manipulated so easily and it is not up to a person to decide whether or not he should die due to its causes. The victims are not the only ones with families worried about the future of their relatives: in both cases their greatest fear is death. The way I see it, in the end, these people have just committed one of the most heinous crimes known to our society. Why do they commit these acts? I have absolutely no idea.
