The topic of discussion I will write about in this article is how the advent and expansion of Islam influenced the nature of Russia and the Byzantine Empire? Throughout this article I will show examples of how Islam influenced the two. From showing what brought Islam to the attention of Russia and the Byzantines, to what they understood about it and how it affected the two regions. I will also explain how the two became such close allies and friends through Islam. Islam had different ways of growth in Anatolia (Türkiye). Some might say that growth has been weak and ineffective, but this is not the case, in fact, it is exactly the opposite. In the 14th and 15th centuries the Safavi and Bekta, orthodox Muslims, became rivals of the Ottoman Empire. They were all at odds and it seemed like none of the Safavi had taken control of Iran and made it their own, which made them more powerful. Because the Safavi were so powerful, in the 17th century they took a lot of power and converted Anatolia to Islam ("Türkiye"). There are many different controversies huh...
