I believe that personality tests should not be used primarily to select an employee, in my opinion they should be based on the person's experience and what they have to offer for the position in the workplace. (Winfred Arthur, 2001) states that personality testing in a work situation poses many issues such as appropriateness, bias, and impression management, to name a few. I believe it should be based on the employee's interest in the specified job as Jana has the experience and therefore would appreciate being part of the Medicare team using her experience to complete the required jobs in the workplace. I also believe that personality tests can be misleading, for example an employee's personality might be presented on paper, yet they physically display a different personality in the workplace, which may or may not support the personality test. In the case of Alice and Jana, she is an extroverted employee who may thrive in her new environment but may not get along well with Alex who is an introverted employee. The previous discussion established that based on Jana's experience and personality, she will have a successful Medicare experience and/or career based on her personality
