Whether years, days, or even hours away, the future is at the center of ordinary people's minds. Looking to the future, for many, coincides with the job or position you want to achieve or obtain. In “Colleges Prepare People for Life,” says Freeman Hrabowski, “college students are much more likely to get a job than those with only a high school diploma and to earn substantially higher wages.”(). What better way to look to the future with success than with personal disappointment? With an education beyond high school, you make your life proportional to your education and, at the same time, prepare you for life's major encounters. Later in Hrabowski's writings it is stated: “A job can be the starting point for a good life, but it should not be the end point.”(). Getting a job with knowledge that few others have is exciting, but it shouldn't stop your willingness to put in the work. A college degree is a stepping stone in life, not the entire journey. Life itself is a beautiful thing, but without preparation, such as an education, it is capable of going elsewhere
