I have always found politics and business fascinating. I am looking forward to focusing in much more depth on marketing, business environment, finance and European politics at university. My interest in politics and business is not just academic. I often find myself discussing political aspects in the debating society or with friends. The range of opinions in politics means I reevaluate my opinions. I love reading outdoors. My favorite is “The Globalization of World Politics” by Baylis et al. I like reading political and economic news from The Guardian and The Financial Times. This helps my learning as it gives me a broader understanding of my subjects beyond that of the syllabus. My interest in politics and business are linked as the economy, change and business success are strongly influenced by the UK government, the EU and the world. The interrelated nature of different economies and countries, due to accelerating globalization, means that political and economic decisions or social issues in one country can have a huge effect on other countries....
