Strong leadership is the key to being able to establish direction and leadership performance success. Different situations need different leadership or management styles to help them achieve their goal. The main difference between leaders and managers is that leaders have people who follow them while managers have people who work for them. I will now explain the relevance of 3 distinct leadership styles and how each of them influences the management of an organization. To be an effective and successful leader, the leader must evaluate the situation he is in and be able to decide which leadership style would benefit the organization he is managing. There are 3 particular leadership styles that have proven effective in various ways. Some factors that would apply to all leadership styles could be things like motivation, strength, and ambition. If an organization lacks one of these things, group members would not be enthusiastic and the organization would not be successful. An effective leader must have a laissez faire, known as a hands-off approach to leadership, in which workers have little direction and guidance from the leader. Staff are given total authority and independence and are entrusted with the ability to make decisions independently. This leadership style would be most effective when staff are highly skilled or educated and can be left to do the work at their own pace. This provides positive effects on workers' job satisfaction. Although worker satisfaction may increase and workers may be experienced, some are simply not capable of working alone. Lack of guidance from the leader may cause workers to feel that the leader is not concerned about the task, so they express less concern for the task
