Since then, entertainment has evolved and in the modern era, there are different forms of entertainment. One of the few forms of entertainment is music. As stated in Wikipedia, the word music comes from the word musique, an Old French or Latin word borrowed from the Greek word mousa known as muse, goddess of various arts or sciences. There are many genres of music in this world and I would like to talk about the differences and similarities between local and international rock music. One of the differences between local and international rock music is the language. Language is an important tool used to communicate or connect with others. The same goes with rock music. Our local rock bands possess good quality characteristics that could match international rock bands. However, our local language, which is Malay, is not understandable by others except locals. Because of this, language barriers are formed and the music of our local rock bands cannot reach people from other countries because they would not understand the song. However, this is different with international rock bands because the language used, which is English, is understandable by most people from other countries. This allows their music to reach other people from various countries because the language barriers between them have been eliminated.
