Topic > Persuasive Essay on Gun Violence - 935

The enemy and his followers have been condemned to eternal life in hell for his act of defiance against God. For this reason he has fought a persistent battle to take with him as many others possible. All those who, apart from the Christian faith, have become number one on Satan's blacklist. In fact, the Bible tells us that the enemy's desire is to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10). Since Satan's future has already been predestined, he has no desire to fight fair, so if he has to take a person's life then he is more than willing to do so. From the fall of humanity to the present day, the efforts of enemies to destroy all who wish to obey God's ways have been truly evident. The First Recorded Murder in Biblical History Although Satan uses carnal things to shake the faith of those who believe in God, Christians must know that the battle is not against humans, but is against spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph 6 ,12) , KJV). Consider the things happening in this world today; There are those who believe that gun violence in America can be solved with stricter gun laws, and that may be true, but is that the real problem? The problem is spiritual wickedness that is destroying the lives of the innocent and the person committing the act. Drugs, alcohol and gang violence are also ways the enemy destroys lives, but the Christian must fight the enemy with prayer and fasting which is the only way to fight. The Christian's life is that of a conqueror, which means they have complete success over every obstacle. set enemies for them. In fact, the Bible says that through Jesus we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37, KJV). Nothing Satan brings has the ability to destroy any believer as long as they continue to believe in the work Jesus accomplished on Calvary. Believing in Jesus gives all Christians the same authority that he had when he walked the earth. The Bible says that everything in heaven, on earth, and below must bow to the name of Jesus (Phil. 2:10, KJV). The Christian walk of faith is based on the power of the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. His finished work has defeated Satan and his demons, so as Christians we should be grateful and understand that every believer must live a life that consists of prayer, reading God's word, and fasting. These help because the enemy wants to bring evil things to our minds that will separate us from God. In fact, the Bible tells us that we must abandon every lofty thought that goes against God (2 Corinthians 10:5, KJV). If every Christian puts these principles into practice he will forever live a lifestyle of victory over the enemy. No Christian should fall prey to Satan and his demons if he knows who he is on this journey of faith and how to obey the word of God.
