Even today, senior nurses in England are known as "sisters" (Allgeyer 2). In my research, I learned that there are many types of nursing careers. Depending on the type of nurse I decide to become depends on the amount of education I need. I think I would like to be a nurse because I like helping others and I like the medical field. The only thing I worry about is my health while taking care of patients. I know how easy it can be to spill a chemical or stick myself with a needle, but I won't let that stop me from becoming a nurse. This is why I think I would make a good nurse. Since nursing has been around for so long, there are many types of nurses, depending on what they mean, different safety precautions. Nurses can be anything from a health policy nurse who works on a social level, to a medical-surgical nurse who helps with surgeries. It just depends on your education level. Health risk is very important for nurses, because they put their lives at risk to help someone. Most nurses work for many years before realizing that breastfeeding is bad for your body. Many nurses from long ago have had an impact on today's nursing habits. Just like Clara Barton created the American Red Cross. America still uses this organization to help people today
