Topic > Understanding the Richness of Life - 1580

In life people have different destinies by encountering different situations, but the key to a successful life is the question of acceptance and how you deal with the reality that destiny brings. People have different interpretation of wealth, some people consider materials as a form of wealth, but for others wealth would be from people who truly care about you and love you, no matter what situation you are in. Help people in need, especially those who are very close to your heart. New York is a place of love for most people, a place where different dreams come true. Danny is a struggling musician, living paycheck to paycheck cleaning tables. He was living independently when his mother died. Danny has an interest in music, he believes in the power of music and how it can touch souls and last forever. He works in the restaurant for a reason: the chance to play the piano before and after work. He doesn't believe that money is the most important factor in the world. He believes that what your heart desires comes before anything unnecessary material things. Think life is too short to waste time and live a life someone else created for you. Ariana is a rich college student who lacks the ability to feel. She was diagnosed with meningitis at a young age and ends up losing her hearing. Ariana's mother protects her, shielding her from the world. He didn't give Ariana choices but decides everything for her. He stops Ariana from learning sign language because he wants her to depend on her. Victoria, Ariana's mother wants to control her since she is deaf, she does not disagree with her mother's wishes. He listens to her without hesitation. He assumes his mother knows better, until the day she met Danny who told... middle of paper...... of a rich life helping the people around him. Danny's action is related to the Allegory of the Cave, the parable of Jesus: the parable of the poor widow and the Bhagavad Gita. All these stories are about Danny's way of life. The cave allegory showed how Danny showed the real world to Ariana. The parable of the poor widow and how Danny offered every penny he had to George and the Bhagavad Gita on how he accepted his misfortunes. People have different understandings of the richness of life, live in different ways and have different ways of accepting fate. I admired Danny so much because he is not blinded by material wealth, he focuses on what he believes in, and recognizes the different situations and people he encounters in his life.Works CitedEdited by John Raniere and Peter Savastano. “Transformation Journey” Copyright by Seton Hall University c2012.
