She seemed like a completely new girl. “Bullying at School” states that a simple hello or smile can change a person's life and in this moment I felt the change in his attitude, personality and overall presence (2). It seemed like the simplest acts I did seemed to make a huge difference for her. On graduation day, 2015, I sat in my chair and watched all my friends prepare to go on stage. As the ceremony began, I saw that day's girl walk up the stairs to the stage and start speaking. She was our Valedictorian. He began: “Dear fellow graduates. I can't call you friends because most of you don't even know I exist. My name is Sam Carter. I'm your below average student who didn't fit in like the rest of you. I had a friend and you know who you are. Earlier this year I was gratefully introduced to a friend at a pivotal time in my life. Everything was piling up and I was being bullied at school. She came into my life at the perfect time and saved me. The day she helped me get my books and stood up in the hallway before class was the day I would go home to finish it. My life meant nothing to anyone. I had written my farewell letter, the rope in my room, and said goodbye and that day she showed me that I was not alone and that someone cared about me. The simple things you have done for me have changed my view of this world. You saved my life. Like me
