No one can have too much or too little education; it is a necessity in all aspects of life. Anyone can learn to do something and be successful. The learning process becomes a person's education and the ability to use that skill. Education is the amount of information processed by an individual that aids success. There are always learning opportunities and everywhere there is just a need for support and encouragement. When reflecting on education, many think of the first place they were introduced to learning or their first experience with processing information, and that would most likely be a kindergarten program. Some children have attended or participated in a preschool program that helps build the learning foundation for social and academic skills to help them succeed (Broatch). Early education is a child's first experience in a structured environment with a teacher and groups of children. Many low-income families are unable to provide an education for their children; so the only education they get is when they actually start school, kindergarten. Since there are many less fortunate families in America, education has become an important issue in politics. When children grow up in poverty and in homes without books, the government would end up paying about $8,000 per year per child for preschool. Or tomorrow in a juvenile prison with approximately $90,000 per year per child due to their lack of education and rebellion (Kristoff). The solution to the problem would be to allow all children, from newborns to 4-year-olds, to receive the education necessary to prepare them to become academically stable and school-ready.
